Farmers have to face many adversities due to natural reasons and also due to marketting , credit problems . The policies to be followed to safeguard the intrests of the farmers and the poor are as follows :
a) Easy credit facilities given to the farmers at a lower rate of intrest
b) Seeds , fertilizers sold to the farmers at a subsidized rate .
c) Rationing of food grains for the poor
d) Public Distribution System ( PDS ) for the below poverty level people .
e) Putting a price ceiling on the price of essential commodities .
