The administrative failures of Muhammad bin Tughlaq were

1. The decision to shift the capital from Delhi to Daulatabad which was a failure. He had to shift the capital back to Delhi. This step led to enormous loss of life and resources.

2. The decision to introduce copper and brass coins which led to the debasement of the existing currency based on gold and silver.
