mention any three reasons to explain politics in caste is very limited.

Dear Student,

a. Caste system has been well entrenched in Indian society from time immemorial and has brought about worst kind discrimination and exclusion of the out caste group who were subjected to inhuman treatment and injustice.
b. Politics in caste, explains how politics impacts caste, it explains how various caste based groups are trying to assert their rights in their quest to acquire power and authority
c. We may give example  rise of many caste based groups, forward or backward caste groups who with the support of caste based parties, have been influencing the decisions of the government
d. We have seen rise of many caste based groups and of caste based parties, have been wielding considerable power in their respective states and influencing the decisions of the central government.
e. These groups have also entered into bargaining and negotiations among themselves for the purpose of wielding more power, The Dalits, OBC''s have acquired political consciousness  pressed for reservations.
f. However, over the year , we have witnessed that influence of politics in caste has been limited.

g.  Increased urbanisation, economic development, better education  and job opportunities, occupational mobility has made people less conscious of their caste system and has allowed them to focus on more important issues like development, corruption in the system.
h. There has been a marked attitudinal shift of the people particularly in urban areas who have become more aware and have risen above these narrow caste loyalties.
i. Further, caste based parties are losing ground,  people are voting and showing their affliations to parties which  are promising change, development.
j. Also
Caste that  had  emerged as major vote bank factor during elections is fading. Political parties try to muster support on the basis of caste by exploiting the caste sentiments of the people, fielding candidates of a particular caste to reach out to more and more people is now far from true.
k. As there are many other factors today taken into consideration which includes credibility, past performance of the candidate, ideological commitment towards the party that are determining electoral outcomes.
l. We may give example of the recent UP assembly elections where caste based parties came with a dismal performance.

Regards
