"Management is neither as precise nor as comprehensive as natural and pure sciences are".Why explain? (5 marks)

Dear Student,
Management is neither as precise nor as comprehensive as a natural and pure science because it possess the features of both a science as well as an art. As it is similar to art, the applicability of which differs from artist to artist. Similarly, management is not as comprehensive as science since it deals with human behaviour which is very difficult to predict and is not based on any cause and effect relationship. Moreover, the managerial principles differ from the principles of pure science as they are not as rigid as the principles of science. In contrast to the principles of science, the applicability of managerial principles differ depending on the creativity of the managers. Principles of science are based on cause and effect relation and always have a specified result, but, principles of management can be applied to various situations depending on the circumstances. Thus, management is neither as precise nor as comprehensive as a natural and pure science.
