The Ahom people
- The Ahoms belonged to Tai – Mongoloid people who migrated to Assam from Yunan province of China.
- The Ahoms established their kingdom in Assam under King Sukaphaa in 1228.
- They spoke Assamese language.
- Ahoms preached their tribal gods but later due to change of time, they adopted to Hinduism
The Gond people
- In Akbarnama, chronicle of Mughal emperor Akbar 's reign, refer the Gond Kingdom as Garh Katanga
- They lived in vast forested region called Gondwana
- They are known as the largest tribe having around 70,000 villages in India
- They spoke Gondi language, which is more similar to Telugu language
- They also spoke Dravidian and Indo – Aryan languages
- They followed clan worship and also prayed to Mahadev
