Given : 8-214 X = 1210To Calculate :(1) Order of XMatrix equation is of the form AX=BSo, order of A is 2×2 and order of B is 2×1Assuming the order of X to be m×n
⇒2×2×m×n=2×1So, for matrix multiplication m=2and for equality of order both sides n=1So, X will be of order 2×1
(2) Matrix XConsidering the elements of X be 'a' and 'b'
⇒8-214 ab = 1210⇒8a-2ba+4b =1210 So, on comparing both the sides
8a-2b=12 1  anda+4b=10
2multiplying 1 with 2 and adding with 22(8a-2b)+a+4b=(2×12)+10⇒16a-4b+a+4b=24+10⇒17a=34⇒a=3417⇒a=2putting a=2 in 22+4b=10⇒4b=10-2⇒b=84=2⇒b=2So, X=22
