jobless growth leads to chronic unemployment even when there is a rise in GDP explain this statement with example

Solution:
Jobless growth leads to chronic unemployment even when there is a rise in GDP. This is the prevailing situation in India, GDP rises but with less job opportunity.Mostly when we see the rise in GDP than there is increase demand and more productivity which leads to more job opportunity. And there are times when we see rise in GDP with joblessness and that will lead to long term unemployment in country. There are various reason for that -
Increased population, and people are skilled still not able to get the job
India prefer to Import things rather than create it and that also leads to less job opportunity.
Maximum contribution to economy growth is from knowledge intensive sector as compared to manufacturing sector
Rigid labour regulations
