Is the following concept about potential energy correct and if it correct than can u pls explain it in bit easier way :potential energy is only potential. And does not really exist. If i am Standing on the earth surface is my potential energy 0? I believe not becuase i can easily fall on the ground. Is my potential energy Zero when lying on the ground? No just remove 1m of ground under me and I will fall down. The whole concept of potential energy is there just to make some calculations easily. But it is more Point of view than an exact fact. Potential energy does not necessary has to do something with the height. Even a spring can have it. Even a fully charged battery and so on..

Solution:
Potential energy is the energy that is stored in an object due to its position or configuration. In other words, potential energy refers to the energy which an object holds due to its position relative to other objects, stresses within itself, its electric charge, or other factors.

Second point, as I mentioned potential energy is a relative term. With respect to ground as reference your potential energy can be zero if you are standing at ground, but at the same time if you take reference as the core of earth or any other depth, your potential energy will vary accordingly.

Hope it clear your doubt.
