yes rubber band is a solid ,it changes its shape when force is applied. if the force is removed it returns to its orignal shape . it breaks if excessive force is applied beyond a limit

as we know that solids have fixed shape but still rubber band is a solid because it changes its shape when some external force is applied to it.if the force is removed it gains its original shape.

RUBBERBAND IS NOT A SOLID!!!!!!!!!! IT IS A SUPER COOLED LIQUID!!!!!!!

Justification:

rubberband is as you know made of rubber and rubber is made of latex and latex is a liquid, te latex is basically supercooled and thus acquires some propeties of solid but it is a partial conversion of state of matter so as it can streach, it is considered a liquid which justifies the question.

Rubber band is not a solid! it has shape and it strectes it self and it come back to its orignal shape.This is called elasticity.

Yes, rubber band is a solid. When force is applied to it, it canges its shape but when force is removed then it regains its original shape. When excessive force is applied then it breaks.Such type of solids are called elastics.
