inspiration in humans results from high partial pressure of co2..explain why..this question is givenn in the topic tst of mechanism of breathing..ans fast

Dear Student,
Please find below the solution to the asked query:

Partial pressure refers to the pressure contributed by an individual gas in a mixture of gases.
The partial pressure of oxygen (pO2) is higher and the partial pressure of CO2 (pCO2) is lower in the alveoli while in the blood, the pCO2 is greater than pO2. Diffusion of fluids occurs from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration. Hence, oxygen will move from the region of its higher concentration to the region of its lower concentration i.e., from the alveoli to the blood and CO2 will move from the blood into the alveoli from where it is expelled out. This mechanism helps in respiration and exchange of gases.

because co2 concentration increases then we breath in to take 02 and increase its concentration and partial pressure
