In the redox reaction 2Na(s)+H2(g) = 2NaH(s), which is getting reduced, Sodium or oxygen?

In this, H2 is getting reduced . According to the definition of reduction on the basis of oxidation no., decrease in oxidation no. in a reaction from reactants to products, then reduction takes place. In reactant side H has 0 oxidation no. but in product side it has -1 oxidation no. We can see that oxidation no. is decreasing , so H2 is undergoing reduction. However, Sodium from zero oxidation state changes to + 1. There sodium undergoes oxidation and hydrogen undergoes reduction
