In the corner of some profile photos of children is a circle with something in it. What is it and how to put it?

Dear Student,

Thanks for trusting our services & letting us know your concern. We would like to confirm that the circles that you can see just beside the student's profile are the badges.

It is an invitation based program so we will approve the requests on first come first serve basis. Hence the students have to wait for their chance.

The badge program is based on various criterions like profile completion, chapters completion, marks scored in test papers, thumbs up received from our experts etc.

The link to the criterions and the badges are as below:

Hope your queries have been resolved!

  1. What is Meritnation Badge Program?

We are introducing this program as a way to reward you students. You now earn points and badges by studying, asking, answering and doing stuff that you already do on Meritnation. Start earning today and become a rockstar amongst your friends and classmates !

  2. How can I become a part of this program?

We are rolling out this program to a select few students. Get in line by applying to become a part of the program. Watch out for our email! (It might take us some time as thousands of students apply every day)

  3. What are badges?

Badges are the most exciting part of the MBP. You earn each badge by fulfilling the criteria specified for that badge. (Relax, they are easier than you think!) We currently have 7 different badges with different rules for earning them. To know more about how you can start earning them today, click here.

  4. Why are badges in three different colors : Bronze, Silver and Gold ?

Each badge has three levels of achievement starting from Bronze (warming up) to Silver and Gold (awesome).

  5. Can I earn the same badge again once I earn the Gold badge?

Yes, of course! There are no limits to how many badges of the same type you can earn. But keep in mind that earning multiple badges might not be as easy as it sounds.

  6. Why does the Bronze badge disappear when I get to Silver?

A higher level badge automatically tells your friends that you had earned the prior badges.

  7. But why is it different for Studious, Well connected and Enlightened badges?

These badges are hard to earn and hence they are yours to keep!

  8. What are Merit points?

Merit points tell everyone how active you are on Meritnation. They are easy to earn and there is no limit to how many you can collect!

  9. How am I ranked?

The ranking process is very simple. The more your Merit points, the higher your rank amongst your peers. Check out the leaderboard to know your rank.

  10. I just took a test, but I did not get any points.

You get Merit points only when you complete the full test. In case of personality, aptitude and interest tests, you will have to complete all the dimensions/tests.

  11. Why don't I get Merit points for all model tests?

Currently, Merit points are awarded for completing MCQ tests only and not for written tests.

  12. I visited Meritnation more than once today but got Merit points only once. Why?

You get Merit points only once a day for visiting the website.

  13. Why are there no Bronze and Silver levels for the Autobiographer badge?

Autobiographer badge is earned when you complete all of your profile information. Currently, there is only one level for this badge.

  14. I did not do anything to earn Well Connected and Enlightened badges. Still I have them, why?

You have earned these badges due to the recognition given to you by other students on Meritnation. For example, you earn the Enlightened badge when experts give thumbs up to your answers.
