If velocity,time and force were chosen as basic quantities, find the dimensions of mass.

force = mass *acceleration

force= mass * velocity/time

mass= force * time /velocity

mass= F *T/V

=  [M^1 L^1T ^ -2][M^0L^0T^1] / [M^0L^1T^-1]

= [M^1L^1T^ -1] / [M^0L^1T^ -1]

= [M^1L^0T^0]

^ MEANS ON THE POWER....

HOPE THIS WOULD BE HELPFUL TO U....

force=mass*acceleration
force=mass*velocity/time
force=mass*velocity*(time)-1
force=M*V*T-1
M=F*V-1*T

hope this helps u out

Velocity = L1T-1
Time = T1
Force = M1L1T-2

Force = Mass * Acceleration
          = Mass * (Velocity / Time)

Mass = (Force * Time) / Velocity

Mass = [(M1L1T-2)(T1)] / (L1T-1)
Mass = (M1L1T-1) / L1T-1
Mass = M1

Therefore,
Mass can be represented in Velocity, Time and Force as M1L0T0

Hope this helped...

f=m*a
f/a=m
f*t/v=m
MLT^-2*T/LT^-1
=M
  • -3
which means F^1 T^1 V^-1
  • 1
Mass=force*time/velocity =kg*m*s*s/s^2 *m =kg Dimensions of mass are M^1 OR FTV^-1
  • 2
Dimensions of mass =[M]
