Consider the following table

The formual for median is given by,   median=l+N2-CFf×hWhere l is the lower limit of the median class            N is the sum of all frequencies           CF is the commulative frequency of class preceding the median class            f is the frequency of  the median class             h is the width of the interval
So we have             27=20+34-5+x20×10              27=20+34-5-x2       27-20=34-5-x2               7=29-x2This implies that,     14=29-x       x=29-14       x=15Also we have      47+x+y=68Put the values to get,     47+15+y=68            62+y=68                    y=68-62                    y=6
