If Boiling point is the temperature at which Vapour Pressure is equal to the Atmospheric Pressure, then how Water boils when the container is open because Vapour Pressure is only defined when we have an Equilibrium between the two states of Water: Gas and Liquid
Please explain this

Solution:
The Vapour pressure of a liquid is fixed above its surface at a fixed temperature.
Suppose the liquid is in an open container and exposed to normal atmospheric pressure. The liquid boils when its saturated vapor pressure becomes equal to 1 atm(or 101325 Pa or 760 mmHg).
This happens with water when the temperature reaches 100°C.
