Once upon a time, under a sumac tree in Bingle Bog, a frog sang the night long, every night, in a horrendous voice. The forest animals were distraught and at their wits end. They tried stopping his crass Minstrelling with sticks and stones, insults and bricks but to no avail. In sheer dismay they cried for divine intervention. To all this, the frog remained impassive and resolute, intent on airing his hearts glad elation.

One night, when in the sky hung a pale moon, a nightingale perched on the sumac tree and sang entrancingly into the night. The creatures of the bog were held in thrall by its exquisite melody. The frog listened, dumbstruck; and all stared at the tree in delight. At the end came clamorous applause. While the nightingale serenaded her song, ducks swum and herons waded close to her and a lonely loon sobbed.

Then came calls for more singing:

Bravo! Too divine! Encore!

Brand-new to such a standing ovation, the nightingale sang on, never pausing till dawn. Needless to say, the frog was appalled and threatened by the Nightingales sudden appearance. He was jealous too, of how the animals exalted in her sweet voice. But he had cunning and was a shrewd businessman. He decided that she would have to be destroyed.

The following night, the Nightingale spread her wing a little, and closed an eye with the twitch of her tail and a shake of her head. Gently, she cleared her throat to sing. No sooner did she begin than she was stopped in mid- song by the bullying frog. He tells her boastfully that he owns the sumac tree and has been performing for years. He informs her that he is a famous critic as well as a singer who can sing in a booming baritone.

The diffident bird is impressed by the self-important frog. She asks him timidly whether he liked her singing. To this the frog condescendingly replies that her voice is not all that bad, but it wants more force. In fact her technique is good but her song is a little too long.

The Nightingale, gratified by the summation of her talent by a famous critic, defends her song saying that it may be not be heavenly but it is certainly her own and therefore unique. The hardhearted frog threw cold water on the originality of her song. He argued that originality didnt stand a chance without technique, so the Nightingale had nothing to be proud of. Craftily, he remarked that she should be trained first or lag behind, as a mere beginner. The nervous Nightingale was downcast. The frog, hinting that under his tutelage she would be a big hit, offered his guidance for a small fee that would not hurt her.

The naïve bird was shyly flattered, by this attention and advice from whom she thought was a talented singer and music critic. Lacking in confidence and true discernment, she gushed that the frog with his croaking voice, was a Mozart come to teach her.

Under the patronizing frog, the Nightingale sang her heart out and became famous throughout the forest. The frog charged for tickets and earned from her performances. He felt both sweet and bitter as he pocketed his cash—sweet because of the money coming in and bitter because the Nightingales lovely voice was so applauded by one and all.

Even the aristocratic members of the bog were present at the Nightingales concerts. There was the Earl of Duck, the Owl of Sandwich and the Coot of Monte Cristo amongst other distinguished personalities. The ladies attended, bejeweled with glittering crowns.

a frog lived in a bog which is an area that is very wet or muddy.he always crocked everytime thinking that his voice was very good and other animals enjoyed his voice always.

but unfortuantely his voice was very much irritating for other creatures.they were getting very much angry because of the frogs immortal irritation till the next morning continuously in the sumac tree..

many tries of consolidating the frog and trying to say that his voice was not plesant ,the frog did not bother.although it got many complaints of disturbing,he only wanted to display his hearts content on singing.

one night,a nightingale visited the bog.as we know that a nightingales voice is so good,no wonder it started singing soft and good melodies that pleased others.

the whole bog was admiring her singing which was so plesant. when she stopped singing at the end of the song, everyone cheered for her and gave her credits for it.

so the nightingale sang everytime without a pause to everyones happiness.

the next day the nightingale was preparing to sing.she closed her eyes, fluffed a wing and cleared her throat.her music was interupted by a unplesant croak-the frog.
they had a little conversation.the frog says, that the sumac tree was owned by him.he also says that he  was very well known for his splendid  little voice and everyone appreciated him for his singing.
the ngihtingale was surprised and asked how was her voice.the frog like a real great man ,said that she lacked some techniques and some force was missing.the nightingale then accepted to be his devote and a good student for singing.

after some days of very hard practice, the frog thought of a plan of collecting money from other animals to give a good concert with the nightingale.no wonder many animals flocked to hear her wonderful voice.

the day of concert, the frog exitedly counted the heads and money for him to become rich.

the day though it was a rainy  ,he did not want a day to be missed for practice.eventhough the nightingale protested that she cannot sing in this weather, the frog persuades her to practice. together with him.

the nightingale  puts her scarf and sash and starts to sing.

for six solid hours she practiced practiced.

her voice became hoarse and started to tremble. the frog did not leave her at once too.he said her voice must be strong enough like his voice.
he gave her the toughest practice of all and no wonder the oor birdgrew more sorrowful and pale day by day.
on the concert day,she was on the stag very weak and trembling out of breath.
the frog scolds her -"brainless bird -you're on the stage!!"

to try singing  on the stage, the poor bird tries to sing with tears hearing him in silence, opened up to sing.
she burst a vein and died literally!

the merciless frog says that the song must be of your own and not others and starts singing like the dead bird like a professional singer ,very mush concerned about his  voice.

hope it helps!!!
