i want the defines of all types n kinds of taxes

Mainly there are 3 types of taxes :1)Progressive AND Regressive Tax :- progressive tax are those tax when the tax rate increases with an increase in income and the burden is on rich people than poor people . regressive tax are those tax when the burden is on poorer section than rich people .

2)Value added Tax AND Specific tax :- value added tax is an indirect tax which is imposed on value added ( difference bet. value of output and intermediate consumption ). at various stages of production . Specific tax are those tax when the tax is on commodity on the basis of its unit , weight , size etc.

3)Direct and Indirect Tax :- direct tax are those tax which is borne by the person on whom it is imposed indirecty tax are those tax which is imposed on one person but it is paid partiallly or wholly paid by another person.
