Formula of Charge = n x F
n = difference of charge on ions
F = constant = 96487 coulombs
Here n = 2
Charge = 2 x 96487 = 2 x F = 2F
Cu2+ + 2e- ---> Cu
For reduction of 1 mole of Cu2+,charge needed 2F
For reduction of 3 mole of Cu2+,charge needed 3 x 2F = 6F
Therefore no of farad required is 6F.
