Municipal Corporation is formed under the Corporation Act of 1835 of Panchayati Raj System which deals in providing basic services in metropolitan cities.Each Municipal Corporation has a committee consisting of a Mayor with Councillors.
Municipal Corporation- Comprising of Commissioner and administrative staff- Appointed,
City Wards- Headed by Ward Councillors- Elected,
Councillor Committees- comprising of ward councillors,
Decision making is done by the Councillors, Implementation is done by the Commissioner and his administrative staff.
