How has the policy of non alignment contributed to India's international relations?

Solution:
Non Alignment movement idea was brought into the limelight after the bonding conference held in 1955. During the same time, the whole world was divided into two groups USA and Russia.
India and other countries which recently got decolonised were afraid that if they will join these groups, It will force them to settle for their sovereignty for which they fought with colonial powers. Hence non-alignment movement started.
It did not mean that they will not participate in world affairs instead they will take a stand independently without prior favouritisms.
The outcomes of the NAM are the followings:
(i) Bipolar world transformed into a multipolar world in which China, India other nations play an important role.
(ii) New Economic world order got established which is run through the smaller as well as great power.
(iii) Counties are able to sustain their culture and Human rights.
(iv) Lesser conflicts emerge as every nation started behaving as per rationality.
