How does Anne Frank mature and develop through the course of her diary?

At the beginning, Anne was very upset due to the constant abuses hurled by dussel, mrs Frank and van daans. But later on she realises that she had led a very superficial life which was filled with emptiness even though she had many people around. She used to let off her emptiness with jokes and pranks. She was used to be the 'centre of attraction', due to which she always was on the seventh heaven. But as she got into annexe she facedreal life problems, and reqalised that she had come closer to herself. The circumstance of Annexe made her think about topics like life, hard work , peace etc. She started developing profound thoughts. Her fractured relationship with her mom made her think about parenting, but, she later realised how badly she had treated her. ALso, the letter which she had wrote to her father on her relationship with Peter , she had expressed her individuality and freedom. But later on she she realises why her father refused her relationship with peter and she resolves to rectify her mistake.Anne here learns that she can have Peter as a friend, and not as a life partner. All her realisations, make her more and more mature and she comes to the conclusion that she has two Annes within - the innner anne and the outer one.She says that her inner anne is always overrode by outer one as she afraid of getting mocked.

When Anne begins her diary, she is a bright-eyed thirteen year old. She like boys, loves school, and loves, spending time with her friends. Upon their arrival at the annex, she is hopeful and optimistic, but over time, you can see that hopeful optimism disintegrate into loneliness, isolation, and deep thinking. This very young girl, who entered the annex a bit silly and definitely hormonal and was quick to challenge and argue with the other residents. She also falls in love for the first time.

Lastly, you might want to address the relationship she had with her parents. Anne was a daddy's girl..... she fought with her mother in a young, teenage girl's typical fashion. Over time, she comes to appreciate and understand her mother..

Hope it will help u.
