how do micro-organisms increase the fertility of soil?

A range of microorganisms present in soil contributes in making soil fertile they help in releasing nutrients from organic matter by decomposing the organic waste and dead plants and animals into simple substances, they use carbon and nutrients present in organic matter fro their own food and released the excess nutrients into the soil making it nutrient rich. Some microorganisms e.g, blue green algae present in the soil, they reside in the root nodules of leguminous plants and fix nitrogen from air into soil and increase the soil fertility.

Microbes like bacteria help to increase soil fertility. They decompose the fallen leaves, petals, fruits, branches, etc of the plants and provide nutrients to the soil. In other words, they provide natural manure to the plants, and thus, increase soil fertility.

I would also like to add that they they convert the atmospheric nitrogen and convert it into soil compounds that increase the soil fertility.

also,nitrogen is fixed by lightning.

Certain bacterias and blue green algae fixes the nitrogen in soil through converting atmospheric nitrogen into soil components that increase soil fertility.

rhizobium bacteria found in root nodules of leguminous plants and theu fix atmospheric nitrogen

micro-organisms increase the fertility of soil as there are many microbes like rhizobium and nostoc that live in the root nodules of the leguminous plants. Now, these microbes convert the atmospheric nitrogen into nitrates(soluble form)

MICRO ORGANISMS ARE USED TO INCREASE SOIL FERTILITY BY FIXING THE ATMOSOPHERIC NITROGEN WITH THE HELP OF BACTERIUM RHIZOBIUM AND SOME BLUE GREEN ALGAE.

some bacteria and blue green algae are able to fix nitrogen from the atmosphere to enrich soil with the nitrogen and increase its fertility. These microbes are commonly called nitrogen fixers .
