The unwise intervention of man towards the environment increase the intensity of flood in Kerala in following ways
1. people in kerela did reckless fishing which lead to loss of aquatic habitats and imbalance in the ecology.
2. most of people of kerela are involved in the improper disposal of garbage, they did not took care of environment in such cases.
3. Extensive quarrying, forest land acquisitions are reasons for the recent calamity
Other reasons are Deforestation, mining, over grazing, over pollution
