How did the letter to Roosevelt by Einstein had impact??

Dear Student,

In a letter to Roosevelt, Einstein warned of the dangerous consequences of atomic bombing. He was of the view that Germany had acquired know-how of making an atom bomb. As a result, the US government gave due importance to the development of atom bomb and related research. Eventually, atom bombs were dropped on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Einstein was deeply shaken and perturbed by the use of scientific knowledge for such destructive results. He advocated for peace and advised the world governments against war.
