How did the instructor make a swimmer out of Doughlas (100-120 words)?

Solution:

William Douglas’s instructor had to devise various strategies to “build a swimmer” out of him. At first, he put a belt around him and tied a rope to it. The instructor held the other end of the rope and let it loose to let Douglas go inside water. They made numerous trips for around three months. The instructor then made him put his face under water and exhale, raise his nose and inhale. Next, the instructor held him at the side of the pool and made him kick his legs. He had to work on it numerous times to overcome his fear bit by bit.
