how can an object move with uniform velocity when balanced forces are applied??
Balanced force essentially means that the net force acting on a body is zero.
If F = 0
=> Ma = 0 , where M is the mass of the body and a is the acceleration of the body.
=> a = 0 which means the body is either at rest or moving at a constant velocity.
So, if a body is moving with uniform velocity and balanced forces are applied. Then, the body will continue to move at a constant velocity.
In the other case, if the body is at rest and balanced forces (net force is zero), then the body will remain at rest.
