Give the construction and working of an electic torch?

take 4 lengths of electric wire with differently colored plastic coverings.remove a little of the plastic covering from each length of the wire at the ends. this would expose the metal ires at the ends of each length  . fix the exposed parts of 2 wires to an electric cells and the  other two of the can stick the wires to the bulb with the tape used by electricians. use rubber bands or tape to fix the wires to the cells. now connect the wires to the bulb with those attached to the cells

When we press / slide the switch of the elecric torch, electric current start flowing from battery to the electric bulb.This flow is through metallic stripes which act as connecting wires fro battery to electric bulb.Thus, electric bulb glows up.

This is a well labelled diagram showing how a torch works. The electric power from the cells through the wire passes an reaches the poles of he bulb.You might see a metal strip attached under the switch. When the switch is in the 'ON' position the metal strip gets connected to both the wires and when the switch is in the 'OFF' position then the metal strip might get connected to one of the the wires or neither of them. THIS IS HOW A TORCH WORKS!!!
