Monothecous anther contain only one anther lobe like in Hibiscus. Whereas Dithecous anther contain connected two anther lobes. Example- Crotalaria, Solanum.

 Monothecous means one chambered and dithecous means two chambered anthers.

Monothecous anther contains 1 lobe and 2 pollen sacs and they are bisporangiate.
Eg.- Family Malvaise and one of the member of this family is China Rose
Now, Dithecous anther contains 2 lobes and 4 pollen sacs and they are tetrasporangiate.
E.g.-Mustard
