People in the Indus valley civilization worshipped the Mother Goddess, who symbolized fertility. Seals have been recovered that suggest they worshipped an early form of Shiva. Some seals have also been recovered with the swastika sign, which is considered holy in Hinuism, Buddhism and Jainism.
