Explain the concept of sustainable development. Why it is so important for the development of  a nation?

Sustainable development refers to the process of economic development that aims to meet the need of present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own need,
The importance of sustainable development is as follows:
1) It aims at judicious use of resources.
2) It focus on the growth of an economy along with welfare of people.
3) It does not lead not to rise in environment degradation.
4) It aims to fulfil all basic human needs.
