Explain NCERT fig.11.4 pg199?

The pBR322 is the first artificial cloning vector and is 4361 bp in length. The p stands for plasmid and BR represents the name of scientist who created this plasmid- "Bolivar" and "Rodriguez." 322 is the number given to it to distinguish it from other types of plasmid. The plasmid pBR322 contains:
(i). Ori (origin of replication) sequence that helps to start replication.
(ii) Rop gene that codes for a Rop protein. This protein promotes conversion of the unstable RNA I – RNA II complex to a stable complex and serves to control its copy number.
(iii) Genes for ampicillin (ampR) and tetracycline (tetR) antibiotic resistance.

(iv) Restriction sites in the vector pBR322 are Hind III, EcoR I, BamH I, Sal I, Pvu II, Pst I, Cla I etc.
