explain any 3 institutional problems faced by indian agriculture. (in points)

Dear student,
The following are three of the institutional problems faced by the agriculture in India:

1. Lack of irrigation facilities: A large part of agriculture in India is still dependent on monsoon. This dependence on monsoon implies that there is high degree of variability in the crop yield.

2. Lack of organised market: In Indian agriculture there are no proper channels of marketing. The farmers are forced to sell their crops through middlemen. This generally means losses for the farmers.

3. Lack of credit facilities: The farmers do not have access to proper credit facilities for the modernisation and upgradation. Often they have to resort to local money lenders for their credit needs and are forced to pay a hefty sum as interest.
