even if we shout from a car we here nothing outside. whereas if we open the glass a bit, we hear everything. sound travels through solids then why not?

may be,the sound is trapped inside the car b'coz air is not coming out.sound needs a medium to travel. sound through solids may not be heard like sound through the air.
