There is no format of a poster. However, here are a few points that you must keep in mind while making a poster:

• It should be colourful.
• It should be appealing. For instance, draw a pile of books or picture children reading books.
• It should have catchy slogans or words. A slogan could be 'A book a day keeps bad thoughts at bay.'
• Information can be communicated through pictures or diagrams.
• All important details must be conveyed. Date, Timings, Venue should be put on the poster.
