Does bacteria or yeast have high coper number per cell ?

Solution:

Ans. The copy number of the DNA of a bacteria or yeast per cell may vary; it is not the same in every case.

The copy number is the average number of copies of a Plasmids or other DNA molecules present per chromosome in a cell.

Copy number of the rDNA means the number of the rDNA copies present or produced in the host cell. It is of two types low copy number and high copy number. The low copy number means that generates less number of copies in the host and high copy number means whose replication is independent of host DNA replication and produces many copies of itself in the host DNA by replication.
