do an activity to show that particles of matter are very small beyond our imagination

hello.....

this ia the activity:

  1. objective :to understand how small are the particles of matter.
  2. material reqired:6 beakers, water , potassium permanganate crystals.
  3. procedure:fill one of the beakers with water .add some potassium permanganate crystals to it .deepika here after adding the crystals you will see a change in colour.now what you do is that take some water in the other beaker and add some coloured water from the first beaker you will see a color change in this tooo.repeat the process till the colour seems to diminish.you will be amazed to see how small are these crystals!!!!!!!!!!

how can you show the particles of matter are very small

can you tell me that particles of matter have force of attraction between them

aim: to prove that the particles of matter are very small
materials required: beaker, water, salt and glass rod
procedure:
  • take a 100 ml beaker
  • fill half the beaker with water and mark the level of the water
  • dissolve some salt/sugar with the help of glass rod
obsevations:we see that the level of water doesn't change.
conclusion: this proves that the platicles of matter are very small in size

we can see particles only through microscope

One drop of water contains about 10^21 water particles. But it can't be seen even with high power microscope.

Objective: particles are extremely small in size. Experiment: step-1 take 2-3 crystals of potassium permanganate and dissolve them in 100ml of water. Step-2 take out approximately 10ml of this solution and put it into 90ml of clear water. Step-3 take out 10ml of this solution and put it into another 90ml of clear water. Step-4 keep diluting the solution like this 5 to 8 times. Observation: the volume of water doesn't change. The colour of water in each beaker is different. It's from dark to light . Conclusion: hence, the particles are extremelysmall in size. They are so small that the occur by space in an typeof volume as they usually divide their selves and are big in number buy small in size. Thanks!!!!! Plz follow and like if it's helpful.
