Discuss the different methods of classification of data.

Methods of Classification

(i) Chronological Classification: Here data is classified on the basis of their time of occurrence such as year, months, weeks, etc.

(ii) Geographical Classification: Data in this case is classified on the basis of their geographical location such as acc. to states, cities, etc.

(iii) Qualitative Classification: Data is classified on the basis of their characteristics or qualities, for example, male, female, color, etc.

(iv) Quantitative Classification: Here data is classified on the basis of some numerical value.
