Differentiate between structural and seasonal unemployment

Dear Student,

Structural unemployment is a form of unemployment caused due to a mismatch between demand in the labour market and the supply of the skills and locations of the workers seeking employment.

For example, a person trained in academics, is unable to find job of a lecturer, ends up as a school teacher instead of a job of lecturer in a college because of lack of universities in that geographical location.

Seasonal unemployment :

When people remain unemployed during some months of the year. Seasonal unemployment is usually face by the people who depend on agriculture. People remain busy during the sowing and harvesting deason and remain unemployed during rest of the times.
Hope this helps,
