DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN SCALAR AND VECTOR QUANTITIES .

Here are the differences between scalar and vector:

Scalar

Vector

A physical quantity which has only magnitude is known as scalar quantity.

A physical quantity which has magnitude as well as direction is known as vector quantity.

For ex: mass, length, time, work, etc.

For ex: velocity, displacement, acceleration, etc.

Scalars obey algebraic rules for the operations like addition and multiplication.

Vectors obey vector algebra for the operations like addition and multiplication.

A scalar can divide another scalar.

Two vectors can never divide each other.
