differentiate between annelida and arthropoda

Annelida

Arthropoda

They do not have any distinct head.

Their body is differentiated into head, thorax and abdomen.

Exoskeleton is absent.

Body is covered by chitinous exoskeleton.

Locomotion is done by setae, parapodia or suckers.

Three pairs of jointed appendages are present for locomotion.

Respiration occurs through skin.

Respiration occurs through trachea or book lungs.

E.g. Earthworm, Leech

E.g. Cockroach, Spider

 Annelida:

1. They have no distinct heads.

2. Exoskeletons are absent.

3. They have no jointed appendages.

4. Excretion occurs through nephridia.

5. Respiration occurs through skin or parapodia, e.g. earthworm, Aphrodite.

Athropoda:

1. Body is divided into head, thorax and abdomen.

2. Body is covered by chitinous exoskeletons.

3. They have jointed appendages.

4. Excretion occurs through coxal gland on malpighian tubules.

5. Respiration occurs through tracheae or book lungs, e.g. prawn, cockroach.

Arthropoda and Annelida are two phyla of animals. There are many differences. The first obvious one is that arthropods have true feet/legs. Annelids' bodies are divided into identical segments and arthropods are divided into 2-3 specialized segments, or tagmata. Annelids have an outer covering of a cuticle and arthropods have a hard exoskeleton.

hope so this help u

thumbs up please

The annelids, collectively called Annelida (from French annelés "ringed ones", ultimately from Latin anellus "little ring"), are a large phylum of segmented worms, with over 17,000 modern species including ragworms, earthworms and leeches

An Arthropod is a group classification assigned to organisms in the animal kingdom under Phylum Arthropoda. Arthropods have segmented bodies and hollow jointed legs and are made up of spiders, insects and crustaceans. Arthropods are also invertebrates ie; they have no backbone or spinal column.

I hope you got the answer if you are sataisfied please thumbs up !!!!!!!!

Annelids

Arthropods

The circulatory system of annelids is closed.

Arthropods have an open circulatory system.

The body is divided into several identical segments.

They breathe through body surface (skin)

They contain excretory organs called 'nephridia'

The body is divided into few specialized segments.

They have different organs for breathing such as gills, trachea etc...

They contain excretory organs called 'malpighian tubules' or  'green glands'.
