Douglas was scared of water but made up his mind to overcome his fear. he hired an instructor and with hard work and diligence learned to swim. he practised for many months, durimg which time fear raised its ugly head aain. But, his desire and deteremination to succeed was so strong, that nothing could stand in his way. He learned to be a good swimmer who could swim the lengths of lakes. His is an evident example pf what man can achieve if he puts his mind to it, works towards it with focus and diligence and never gives up.
