Describe Virginia as a harbinger of love and peace.

Virginia is indeed a harbinger of love and peace. She does not dismiss the Ghost like the rest of her family members. The Ghost is able to see her gentle humanity and confides in her of his guilt at having killed his wife, the cruel way in which he was starved and killed, his trauma at having to roam around the castle for hundreds of years. Virginia's sympathetic nature enables her to see beyond the Ghost's mischief and realise his pain. She is kind enough to weep for him and pray for his retribution. She convinces her family and Lord Canterville to organise a proper funeral for Sir Simon so that he may get salvation. her efforts enable the Ghost to get salvation and rest in peace. She declares to her husband later that the most important thing in life is love, it is more important than life or death.
