b. The Senate- This group consisted of the Roman and Italian Aristocracy. They, though being given importance by emperor Augustus, dislike the system of Principate and missed the Republic.
c. The Roman Army- A nightmare to the Senators, the Roman army is very professional and paid. However, many mutinies took place because of their insatiable demands, to which the Senate HAD to pay heed.
