Describe the importance of diary in Anne frank's life

In the story 'From the Diary of Anne Frank', the young Anne decided to write a diary which she named 'Kitty'. She said that even though it's a little unusual for her to write a diary as nobody would ever be interested in reading it, she still feels a strong urge to jot down her deepest thoughts and feelings. Her diary was her best friend and she shared all of her ideas with it.
