Define radiation in 8 to 10 lines

 Solution
Radiation is energy travelling in the form of electromagnetic waves or photon.

Electromagnetic radiation is the result of a charged particle that is being accelerated through the three dimensional space. As the charged particle accelerates through the space it disturbs the space around it in a similar way that a pebble dropped into a calm pond of water creates waves on the surface of the water. It is actually a method of energy transfer.

For electromagnetic energy (or waves) the charged particle sends out a wave, or a disturbance, in space. These waves travel at the speed of light. This is electromagnetic radiation. The type of radiation depends on how much energy the charged particle has when it is moving, generally the faster it moves the greater the electromagnetic energy.
