Define Factors and Multiple ?

factor-Factoring is like taking a number apart. It means to express a number as the product of its factors. Factors are either composite numbers or prime numbers (except that 0 and 1 are neither prime nor composite).

multiple-A multiple of a number is the product of that number and any other whole number. Zero is a multiple of every number.

Factors-The numbers that are completely divisible by a number are its factor

eg-24-1,2,3,4,6,8,12,24

Multiples-The numbers which comes in the table  of that number is called its multiples

eg-2-2,4,6,8,10

factors-The numbers that are multiplied together are called factors of the final number. All numbers have a factor of one since one multiplied by any number equals that number. All numbers can be divided by themselves to produce the number one. Therefore, we normally ignore one and the number itself as useful factors.

In mathematics, a multiple is the product of any quantity and an integer. In other words, for the quantities a and b, we say that b is a multiple of a if b = na for some integer n , which is called the multiplier or coefficient
