Crocker Harris is one of those teachers who remain stern outwardly. Does the author approve or disapprove him as a teacher. What message does he want to convey to us

The author doesn't completely disapproves Mr. Harris as a teacher as we can see that when Mr.Frank  conveys to Taplow that Mr. Harris is a sadist  Taplow denies it and says that he is not a sadist but is a person who sticks with norms and rules of the school as he was not ready to reveal about the removal earlier to his students...Overtly(outwards) he is a strict and frightening person because he want his students to be more productive and score well ...I hope this may help u..
