can you please explain what are finite and non-finite verbs.

Finite verbs ahave a definite relation with the subject in a sentence. They change form according to the subject. For example: Sita eats a cookie. They eat cookies.

Non-finite verbs do not express any mood, gender or tense. They are gerunds, infinitives and participles. They are not the main verbs of a sentence as they do not have a direct relation with the subject. For example: I enjoy riding in the woods.
