The rich can control the ballot box by the use of power in form of men and money. Some instances can be as follows:

• Use of men to threaten the voters and force them to vote in favour of the desired candidates
• Use of money to appease the voters by making large claims, distributing items freely before elections, spending huge sums on advertising of their political parties.
