can ethanoic acid conduct electricity and why?

Dear Student,

Ethanoic acid is a bad conductor of electricity as being a weak electrolyte. Its aqueous solution  furnishes very less amount of CH3COO- and H+ ions. Due to very less amount of ions produced, it does not conduct electricity to much extent.

ethanoic acid contain ions -COOH THAT CONUDCT ELECTRICITY .HOPE THIS HELP

ethanoic acid as suggested it must contains H+ ions( as learnt in acids and bases) so when we dissolve ethnoic acid in water it furnishes H+ ions and COOH- ions. and ions are good conductors of electricity. hope it helps!!

cheers!!!!
